St Petersburg 5: The Russian Museum

I made it to the Russian Museum! It was definitely worth the 45-minute queue (that was a Monday morning waiting time – you can imagine a weekend!). Here are some of my favourites. This queue of ladies with the soviet skyscrapers in the background:

Then something more classic, but still with a very distinct style. These beauties are details from large famous oil paintings by Mikhail Nesterov. You can look at his painting in more detail here.

And the rest of these are just ones that stood out most to me 🙂 All by Russian artists of course.
